Mini Ice-Age is a collection inspired by the possibility of a future ice age.

Mini-Iceage is based on survival wear and functionality. The fabric is thick, water-resistant, insulated, and padded for warmth and protection. The rope, nets, and pockets can all be removed for easer access and use. There are lights and reflectors on the clothing for the darker months, and large blankets/sleeping bags strap to the body for more protection and ease-of-portability. Large blanket pins attach or close some of the elements. These can be removed for use. Each element of the garments are detachable to allow the garment to change for different temperatures and survival situations.

The garment was made from a drafted pattern that was then exaggerated in size, and shaped/cut into different sections. Some sections were stuffed and quilted before being sewn or attached to the other pieces. All pieces are lined. The separate pieces were made similarly to how you would make a pillow. The lining and outside fabric was sewn together around the edges inside out, and then turned to the right side. This gave the garment a different kind of feeling/movement. The pieces were then sewn together at the side seams.

The materials include: 1/2 inch rope, 5 inch blanket pins, a polyester stuffing, a reflective silver fabric, a thick fuzzy cotton, and a thick water resistant polyester. These materials were chosen for there warmth, and protection from the elements—mainly moisture and wind. All the fabrics are white to blend into the surrounding snow, and the reflective silver material glints off the sun to warn away predators and make it possible for others to spot you—snow blindness was a consideration.
